Refugee Background Students: Moving Through School to HE
Understanding the challenges through action research
Focusing on refugee background students (RBS), refugee families and foster carers of RBS, this project aimed to highlight the experiences of RBS and their families, identifying new ideas and approaches for supporting progression to higher education. It also sought to produce an online resource that supports teachers and staff in schools and colleges to better understand this group’s perceptions and needs. Finally, the project aimed to work with peer researchers to provide role models to RBS in schools.
