What Next Sussex? virtual career fair: 4th November

Get Career Confident, the Sussex Learning Network, East Sussex and Coast to Capital Careers Hubs, working with Elev8Careers and Learn Live, are running a huge Sussex-wide virtual pathways event for post-16 students. Called What Next Sussex?, the free virtual event on 4th November is supported by The Careers and Enterprise Company and forms part of the My Choices bank of resources.

In the context of the coronavirus pandemic, the event provides a flexible platform for all Sussex providers to showcase their offers to schools, learners and families. The event will ensure all young people and their parents, carers and teachers receive impartial, relevant and up-to-date information and advice so they can make informed decisions for their futures.

Using an online platform and broadcasting technology from Learn Live, the event is able to reach learners at school and home through videos, interactive resources and live chats, all streamed via two live events during school time (1.30pm to 3pm) and for families (6pm to 7.30pm). In addition, students and their families will be able to access provider resources at home and school before the event on the Get Career Confident website, and after the live broadcast on Learn Live

This event is fully funded and completely free of charge to contributors and attendees.

This is an exciting opportunity for cross-county collaboration and to work closely with schools from across East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and West Sussex. So far, there has been a lot of interest from providers and attendees, and the organisers are confident of good engagement in the event.
